In its early days, Dace IT served public transportation and transit agencies as a managed service provider and integrator of CCTVs, which nurtured Louis’ interest in video analytics. Being a curiosity-driven technology enthusiast, Louis came across intelligent video analytics algorithms that were being developed by student researchers at various universities in conjunction with the department of energy. His endeavor towards the acquisition and patenting of algorithms to make the innovation available for practical, worthwhile applications marked the beginning of Sense Traffic Pulse™. “It was around that time when IBM began rolling out their intelligent video analytics offering,” recalls Louis. Sense Traffic Pulse™ strategically bundled their algorithms with that of IBM’s. The company also partnered with camera manufacturers and video solution providers such as Cisco that would later embed Sense Traffic Pulse™’s IVA stack into their products. Today, the company delivers solutions that feature field-proven image processing technology (that extracts video metadata) and security cameras for a plethora of business applications.

Since its entry into the world of IVA, Sense Traffic Pulse™ has continuously strived to simplify the deployment of their technology. Today, readily installable version of Sense Traffic Pulse™ coupled with its video analytics algorithms can be found on the Google Cloud Platform Marketplace and AWS marketplace. Enterprises can launch the solutions in quickly scalable VMs. Google’s AutoML—the suite of machine learning products that enable developers to train high-quality AI models specific to their business needs—has bundled the Sense Traffic Pulse™ algorithm into its solutions. Sense Traffic Pulse™ also offers a service wherein they act on behalf of their clients to extract data from video files or live video, create data sets using their proprietary technology, and then generate insights. This bypasses the need for clients to hire data scientists or maintain servers.

As such, the company holds immense value proposition to the “not so IT savvy,” and tight-budgeted government entities.

Users can utilize the solution in a point-and-click fashion wherein the interface displays the analyzed information about objects in the video.
