A combination of simplicity, speed, and security can be used to secure virtually any type of data, even application communications. The venture between Ubiq and Amazon Web Services within the data security space, will ultimately result in a reduction in the risk and damage caused by information theft.
FREMONT, CA: “Security is, and always will be, about the data. However, as an industry, we’ve spent the last 20+ years focused on securing the perimeter, endpoints, and everything in-between. But how often is the bad guy after the physical workstation or server hardware? They’re not. They’re after the data,” explains Wias Issa, CEO of Ubiq Security.
Ubiq, a pioneer in digital data security, uses its multi-patented 100 percent software solution to secure any data, on any device, and anywhere, with nearly no impact to user experience or system performance. It delivers on the promise of a “fast and safe connected world,” using a method to secure data that renders it useless when stolen. The software stack can be incorporated into existing applications, IoT devices, or installed onto servers and endpoints. Ubiq collaborates with organizations to ensure that all their data is secured transparently while eliminating the vast amount of administration complexity of conventional and outdated data security solutions.
Ubiq’s latest venture has been the announcement of public availability of its Data Security Software Development Kit (SDK) on Amazon Web Services (AWS) Marketplace. Device manufacturers and application developers can easily incorporate security into their products using a resolution designed to defend data across devices.
With the immense volume of data generated and stimulated by the growth of newer technologies including 5G, connected vehicles, video analytics, IoT, and edge computing, implementing data security across data types, device types can be challenging. But with the introduction of the Ubiq SDK on AWS Marketplace, organizations can secure their data with ease. The agreement was made to provide device manufacturers and application developers an easy-to-integrate solution that makes data security easily obtainable, uncomplicated, transparent, and extremely lightweight.
“It is our belief that security needs to start with the data―something we call elemental data security―and nowhere else is it as important as in the public sector, where we enable our customers to reduce the risk and damage caused by data theft. Our pure software solution makes data security easily accessible, uncomplicated, extremely lightweight, and transparent, and easily procurable through SEWP and CIO-CS,” concludes Issa.
