The acquisition bolsters Akima's presence in the defense sector, amplifying its aviation and training capabilities and leveraging Pinnacle's expertise and workforce of 500 employees.
FREMONT, CA: "We are thrilled to add Pinnacle's innovative technology solutions and capabilities to the Akima family. Pinnacle's talented people and commitment to their customer's mission complements Akima's value-driven culture. Pinnacle will significantly enhance our ability to serve our aerospace customers," says Bill Monet, President and CEO of Akima.
Akima, a prominent provider of federal government products and services, has acquired Pinnacle Solutions. The strategic move strengthens Akima's position in the defense market by expanding its aviation and training capabilities. With Pinnacle's expertise in delivering innovative training and sustainment solutions to defense customers worldwide, Akima is better equipped to meet the demanding requirements of the aerospace industry and deliver enhanced value to its customers.
Pinnacle Solutions, founded in 2008 and based in Huntsville, Alabama, offers various services, including aviation operations and maintenance, flight operations and training, and developing cutting-edge training products for multiple platforms such as air, ground, unmanned, and maritime systems. As a wholly owned subsidiary of Akima, Pinnacle Solutions will continue operating with Tina Tucker remaining in her role as President of the company.
"The closing of this transaction represents the beginning of a new chapter for Pinnacle, and we are excited for what the future holds. We believe our deep expertise, network, and strong market position will help accelerate Akima's growth and drive greater value for its customers and employees," says Tucker.
One notable achievement of Pinnacle is its recent inclusion in the U.S. Air Force's Training Systems Acquisition IV IDIQ contract, valued at $32.5 billion. The contract grants Pinnacle the opportunity to provide a wide array of services, including analysis, design, development, production, installation, integration, testing, and sustainment of training systems for the Air Force. Akima and Pinnacle Solutions are poised to drive further innovation and mission readiness to support their customers' critical missions.
