Radiance Technologies is a Huntsville, Ala.-based corporation that creates solutions for defense, intelligence, and civilian clients such as the U.S. Army and the U.S. The Air Force is replacing its outdated ERP system with Unanet GovCon ERP and CRM to create a powerful end-to-end solution that will simplify procedures and decrease human mistakes. Radiance has already begun an implementation strategy that Unanet customized to their specific requirements.
Radiance, an employee-owned company with roughly 1,000 workers, discovered that its legacy ERP supplier was making its business processes more burdensome and inefficient for its team after an annual evaluation of all its business and technology solutions.
"Our previous system included multiple software tools, but none of them were fully integrated and automated. As a result, we were spending a lot of time taking data out of one system through downloads, and entering or importing it into another system," said Paige Nix, chief financial officer at Radiance. Radiance's teams also experienced difficulties with functionality and technical issues such as upgrades that were hastily rolled out with errors in them.
Radiance picked Unanet GovCon ERP and CRM after a search and evaluation process for an enterprise-wide solution because of its ability to completely connect and automate different technologies with little deployment and maintenance time. Furthermore, Radiance got several references about Unanet from businesses that explained how Unanet's customer support team listened to input and translated it into practical outcomes.
"We fully expect Unanet to make our processes more efficient through integration and automation, reduce the amount of time required to enter and review data and create smoother internal processes and workflows," said Nix. "For example, getting consultants and subcontractors to input their purchase order/invoice data into an efficient system will ensure all costs incurred each month are captured in our invoices. This will enhance our speed and visibility to project actuals -- creating one efficient solution for our subcontractors/consultants and our accounting team."
According to a recent yearly study of over 1,100 GovCon clients, Unanet users are experiencing a large decrease in day sales outstanding (DSO) simply because Unanet's ERP solution reduces mistakes. For example, a DSO of 15 days or less got reported by more than 14 percent of users.
