Prior to launching their flagship tracking card, Contact Harald spearheaded the development of many innovative products such as inductive charged Bluetooth cards. In fact, Contact Harald was the pioneer in the development of Bluetooth-enabled credit cards. However, with the pandemic wreaking havoc across the globe, the company decided to pivot into contact tracing and started delivering end-to-end contact tracing products to a diverse clientele. “As we are a product-based company with innovation at the core, we make use of in-house development and engineering teams to bring our flagship products to the market,” mentions Matt Denton, Founder of the company.
Contact Harald’s proximity tracking card quickly and accurately identified and contacted the people exposed to a positive COVID-19 case. Once an infection is reported, the system is triggered to identify the affected persons and those at risk based on the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) guidelines. If an employee tests positive, the contacts tracked near that individual are immediately notified to get tested and remain isolated until the results are out. This allows organizations to privately manage the onboarding and protection of their employees and stop the spread of the virus.
As Contact Harald takes serious note of their users’ privacy, the company has incorporated top-notch security features into the card and the cloud system. The company’s contact tracing system is a highly secure interface that adheres to HIPAA, and GDPR compliances.

More recently, Contact Harald has come up with a new version of the contact tracing card called Beacons, which became more relevant with the dominance of the new delta variant of the virus. The Beacon alerts the user about the presence of a person who can possibly carry the virus. This responsive system is built to respond to delta strain exposure proactively. Although the original system was developed to respond in two minutes, the company reduced the response time to 15 seconds to improve the outcomes.
In one instance, a construction company utilized Contact Harald’s solution to know the close contacts of one of their employees. As a result, the company isolated the employees who were in close contact with the employee who tested positive. This allowed the client to avoid the shutdown of an entire building and continue with their work. “It is the accuracy, accessibility, and speed of the solution that helped the client continue with their work with limited impact,” mentions Denton. In fact, many companies working in the building and manufacturing sector utilize Contact Harald’s solutions to stop massive shutdowns on nearly a daily basis.
Such success stories stem from Contact Harald’s technological prowess in building innovative solutions for real business needs. Currently, the solution is deployed globally, in over 12 countries, and the company is planning to expand their footprint in the days to come. Moving ahead, Contact Harald plans to support the contact tracing of other airborne diseases focus on the health and wellbeing of employees and contractors. With such innovations, the company wants to serve their clients better by helping them cope with the unprecedented times of COVID-19.
