December - 20199GOVERNMENT CIO OUTLOOKArtificial intelligence and machine learning in the space of video intelligence is also a matter of concern as it does not seem mature enough, and holds the potential to put an organization at riskinbound information. One of the sole reasons for the poor availability of data scientists is the education structure that fails to provide a greater level of platform for data scientists to bloom. With a scarcity in number, it is challenging for existing data scientists to take the additional responsibility of audio and video analysis of the incoming data.Artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) in the space of video intelligence is also a matter of concern as it does not seem mature enough, and holds the potential to put an organization at risk. However, the advancement and improvement of AI and ML is imminent as a solution grows, which ultimately will contribute to the advancement of the organization. Intelligent video technology can further be incorporated into IoT devices in an environment where multiple resources are coming in. By adding analytics to that environment, the overall digital footprint of an area can be garnered. From Reflection of Projects to the Path of PinnacleIn terms of a project, there is always something new on the horizon. We are trying to accomplish what the business desires, especially in the government sector, by developing a communication strategy between the leadership and technology. With finite resources available, it is more critical than ever before to recognize and meet the objectives of a business. Looking at the criminal justice side, predictive analytics can be utilized to mitigate some of the risks within the space of intelligent video tech. For instance, crime agencies can expect to grab opportunities to find potential hotspots, increase staff members and create awareness from the predictive fashion of potential user analytics. Word of Advice to ComradesSince many enterprises are providing a solution in the intelligent video technology space, it is important to find the solution that best fits a particular organization. Not all solutions are meant for every organization. Implement the solution and observe the result. If the result is not meeting the needs of the business, it is better to switch to some other solution without any delay. It should be kept in mind that a solution might require necessary adjustments so it needs a frequent check-up to meet the demands of an organization. Another important aspect, in my opinion, is to find the right partner or solution provider, to ensure the smooth operation of an organization. I work with a variety of vendors and consultants to find the best solution that will possibly fit into the framework of my organization. Harold Sass < Page 8 | Page 10 >
